Check more than the pattern

Stone-inspired ceramics range from soft, cloudy patterns to pronounced veins. The pattern does not tell you how the tile performs. Check the technical sheet for properties such as slip resistance.

The surfaces in these collections are ceramic rather than natural stone. Request technical information for the exact model and finish you select.

Decide what you want to stand out

A plain floor leaves more room for patterned fabrics or a distinctive piece of furniture. If the tile has a strong pattern of its own, simpler materials around it can help it stand out.

Compare the pattern at the scale it will be installed. A close-up on screen can look quite different from whole tiles laid across a room. Ask to review additional faces or samples when pattern variation matters to your design.

Check samples in the room’s light

Place samples near the room’s natural light and under the planned artificial lighting. View them from the standing and seated positions you will use. Screen images are useful for a shortlist, but the display, exposure and surrounding colours can change your perception.

Appearance is only part of the choice. Your supplier and designer can also help with the finish, cleaning requirements and technical details for the intended use.

Keep the model code with the sample

Keep the model reference with the sample. Photograph it alongside the neighbouring materials for your own project record, and note the intended location. Include the model codes when you contact us so we know which tiles you mean.

Are the online colours an exact match?

Use online images for initial selection. Review a physical sample in the intended lighting before approving the final colour and finish.

Does a matt-looking image mean the tile is slip-resistant?

No. Appearance is not a test result. Request the applicable slip-resistance information for the exact model and use.
