Match the document to the product
Start with the manufacturer or applicant name, report number, issuing laboratory, sample identification and date. Compare the model, dimensions and finish with the proposed order. If a report covers a range, request the basis for including your specific model.
A company certificate, a historical directory entry and a sample test report have different scopes. None should be extended to every current product without supporting documentation.
Read the method alongside the result
A number without a test method is difficult to use. For example, ISO 10545-3:2018 defines a method for determining ceramic-tile water absorption and related properties. The standard’s existence does not tell you the result for an ANJI product.
- Test method and edition used.
- Specimen identity, conditioning and relevant test conditions.
- Result, units and any classification given.
- Applicable acceptance criteria and the source of those criteria.
Keep different properties separate
Water absorption, dimensions, abrasion and slip-related testing answer different questions. A result for one property does not establish another. Do not compare values from different methods as though they were interchangeable.
For flooring friction, TCNA’s ANSI A326.3 resource explains the method and use classifications. Obtain the result and stated conditions for the proposed finish; a decorative finish name is not a substitute.

Add each document to the material schedule with its date and the requirement it addresses. Have the responsible project professional review suitability for the application. If the identity, method or scope is unclear, request clarification before treating the requirement as satisfied.
The downloadable references on five ANJI product pages contain catalogue facts and an ordering checklist. They are not test reports and do not publish unverified performance results. Ask for current model-specific technical documents through the enquiry form.

Does a standard number prove that a product passed?
No. A standard identifies a method or requirement. You still need the applicable result and evidence that the report covers the proposed model.
Can I use a report from another model in the same series?
Do not assume it applies. Ask for documented coverage of your model and finish, including any limitations.
