Prepare the receiving record
Have the order confirmation, packing list and approved sample reference available. Agree who will receive the material and where it can be stored and inspected. Follow the handling instructions and the site team’s lifting plan; catalogue dimensions do not establish carton or pallet weight.
- Order reference and delivery date.
- Model, size and finish stated on the order.
- Expected and received pallets, cartons or pieces.
- Shade, calibre or batch references shown on the packaging.
Record differences before unpacking further
Photograph damaged packaging, the relevant labels and affected material where it is safe to inspect. Record a quantity shortage or model mismatch against the corresponding packing-list line. Keep the supporting documents together.
If a discrepancy is found, contact the supplier and follow the agreed reporting process before installing the affected material. The purchase agreement governs claims, time limits and remedies; this checklist does not create a separate warranty or returns policy.
Review appearance before installation
Ask the installer to compare pieces from the delivered material with the approved visual reference. Review shade, pattern, finish and the proposed joint arrangement before fixing tiles. CTEF recommends resolving expectations through a mockup and checking tile before setting.

Retain the model and batch identifiers with the final material schedule. If spare material is agreed, record its quantity and storage location for the facilities or homeowner handover. Ask for the care guidance that applies to the supplied finish.
A receipt check does not replace technical testing, installer inspection or acceptance under the project contract. Escalate an unresolved issue to the responsible supplier or project professional before proceeding.
About this guide
Prepared by ANJI Ceramics for initial selection and enquiry planning. Catalogue facts are distinct from general planning advice. Confirm the current model documents and have the project team approve the final specification.

Can I check only one tile?
Agree a representative inspection with the project team. One small sample cannot show all shade and pattern variation across a delivery.
Does this guide define ANJI’s claim deadline?
No. The reporting process, deadlines and remedies must be established in the terms agreed for the order.
